Mugwort, Western

Artemisia ludoviciana, A.K.A. White Sage Brush. Perennial, native to western United States. Energetically cleansing. Plant in well drained soils. Part shade to full sun. Mugwort grows to 3 ft tall and has attractive silvery foliage. Once established Mugwort will form a mound and is one of the first plants to show new growth in spring. Fertilize sparingly. The dried stems smolder and release cleansing, earthy, slightly piney scent.
