Raspberry, Black Cap

Native, eatable. Produces sturdy, thorny and handsome canes up to 6ft tall. Very tasty, almost black raspberries, a true wild treat. Wild plants provide a delicious and nutritious snack for people hiking in the foot hills of western WA.
These plants are adaptable to a wide range of growing conditions, but avoid waterlogged soils. Shade tolerant. Prune established plants in spring to promote growth and fruit production.
